Brian has served in several leadership roles in different business and community organizations. He is a member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and is proud to have completed its Leadership Carroll Program. This year-long program is comprised of business and community leaders in Carroll County that are exposed to every aspect of the county from agriculture, school operations, hospital services, and the legal system. Brian has also been a member of the South Carroll Business Association.

After serving many years on the Board of Directors, Brian was asked to lead the Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Chamber of Commerce for nearly two years as its President. This organization's members include small businesses, community organizations, and even Fortune 500 companies such as T. Rowe Price and Carefirst. Many business members in this organization are in fact also members of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

During his work with these various business organizations, Brian has been able to work directly with numerous community and civic groups. He has been invited to speak at such groups as Kiwanis, Rotary, and the Lions Club and helped direct fundraising efforts for various organizations that serve the less fortunate in our community. He has also privately supported community organizations, such as the Carroll County Rape Crises Center and the Westminster Rescue Mission.

As State's Attorney, Brian has supported the Carroll Chamber of Commerce in hosting a Drug and Violence Awareness Expo, and frequently spoken at Chamber events on the state of crime and drug use.  He has also partnered with other community groups to raise awareness on such issues as domestic violence, child abuse, and drug prevention all with the goal of keeping Carroll safe!
